Maltby Main Football Club
A point gained at Church Street, their first goalless draw since March 2010, halted a run of two defeats for Main.
Main had a good period of early pressure, four corners testing the Welfare defence.
Then, the action swung to the other end with Henry Sibenge forcing Main 'keeper Jamie Bailey into a good save, Jimmy Walker hitting a free kick wide and striker Bruno Holden having a shot saved.
Main striker Rob Branagan had a glorious chance to put Main ahead in the 17th minute but his shot from the edge went just wide and Greg Mason had a shot saved by Welfare 'keeper Jamie Green.
Main defender Scott Mellon got in a great tackle to deny Holden on the edge of the box to keep the game goalless at half time.
Both sides had early second half efforts on goal.
Holden had a low shot saved for Welfare and new signing from Dinnington, Charlie Weir, shot over for Main.
Walker and Stuart Preston shot over the Main bar and Paul Lavender linked up well with Branagan  but his effort was well wide of the goal.
Seven minutes from the end Main striker Ollie Warren forced Green to save with his legs following neat play from Lavender and substitute Ryan Smyth
before Main survived a late scare when Holden had a goalbound shot blocked and Preston's follow up was also blocked.
