nother away deafeat left Main firmly rooted to the bottom of the NCE Premier Division after a 3-2 loss at Barton Town OB.
Yet again again, new signings were brought in to halt Main's bad run, Scott Thompson in goal with Lee Clay up-front.
Town were first on the attack with Ant Bowsley shooting high over the Main bar after Ash Lattimore's right wing corner was only half cleared by the Main defence.
Seven minutes later, Town opened the scoring when Lattimore crossed into the box and an unmarked Mike Gibson headed past Thompson into the top corner of the net.
Then, Gary Middleton got in a crucial block to deny Danny Buttle and Thompson could only parry a Ryan Cooper shot as Town applied the pressure.
Mick Jones and Clay forced good saves from Town 'keeper Dave Bramley but, in the 37th minute,Town increased their lead when Lattimore took advantage of a error of judgement by Paul Lavender and whipped in a cross from the right for Cooper to fire in from 10 yards.
Main finished the half strongly with Clay having a shot from the edge of the box saved and Oliver Graham shot high over following Middleton's free kick.
Then, Scott Whittington forced Bramley to push a shot around the post and defender Jamie Bowman headed just wide from a Graham cross.

Seven minutes after the break, Thompson produced a good save to deny Bowsley but, a minute later,  Richard Medcalf made it 3-0 when his shot from the edge of the box looped over Thompson into the top corner of the net.
Another Thompson save denied Buttle and striker Gavin Barlow shot into the side netting from Jamie Atkinson's ball forward.
On 64 minutes, Main pulled a goal back when Whittington got on the end of Clay's cross into the box from the right and fired a shot into the bottom corner.
Two minutes later, Clay had a shot deflected out and, from Whittington's resulting corner, Clay planted a header into the back of the net.
Main sensed that all was not lost and pushed forward with Lavender having a long range effort saved and Whittington shooting just wide after going on a great run from his own half.
The last action of the half saw both sides go close but Town held on to take maximum points.
