Main's trip to the seaside surprisingly survived the wet weather but saw hosts Bridlington Town come out on top with a 4-2 victory.
Despite heavy rain in the run up to the kick off, the game was given the go ahead in wet conditions andTown adapted  to to the heavy pitch and scored 2 quick goals inside the first 7 minutes.
James Bennett got the first with a shot at the back post from Ash Allanson's cross from the left and Craig Palmer headed past Jamie Bailey in the Main goal from Danny Brunton's inswinging corner on the right.
Town striker Steve Lyon hit a 12 minute shot wide and after a quarter of an hour, Main midfielder Paul Lavender shot wide from 25 yards.
Then, in the 20th minute, Town were awarded a penalty when Danny Reilly brought down striker Craig Hogg in the box and from the spot, Hogg sent Bailey the wrong way to put the hosts 3 goals to the good.
Bailey did well to deny both Hogg and Bennett and, at the other end, Main striker Rob Branagan shot just wide following Charlie Weir's ball forward.
Allanson brought a good save from Bailey with a 25 yard effort before Main had 2 late first half chances.
Weir shot wide from 30 yards and Scott Whittington had a header saved by Town 'keeper Mark Wilberforce.
Nine minutes into the 2nd half, Hogg shot wide after his first effort was blocked but, 4 minutes later Main opened  
their account when Simon Hickey headed past Wilberforce from Lavender's free kick into the box from the left.
Hickey shot just wide from the edge of the Town box and Danny Jones had a diving header saved after being set up by Hickey and Ryan Smyth.
Then, Danny Jones shot wide after running onto Adam Shepherd's through ball as Main enjoyed a period of pressure but, with 7 minutes remaining, Town got a 4th when Scott Phillips scored from 6 yards despite looking offside after Bailey had parried Bennett's shot.
Main substitute Sam Forster headed over from a good position following Lavender's cross and, with a minute left, substitute Scott Whittington reduced the arrears by shooting into the bottom corner of the net from inside the box.
Then, in injury time, Whittington headed over fom a Lavender cross.
