Maltby Main Football Club
A first ever win was achieved against Dinnington Town with a resounding 3-0 victory at Phoenix Park, a win that extended Main's winning run to 4 league matches.
A major change was made to the starting line up, with Andy Coulson replacing the injured Jamie Bailey in goal.
Main midfielder Greg Mason had a 9th minute shot from the edge of the Town box go wide and Paul Lavender saw his low shot saved by Town 'keeper Luke Hands.
Grant Allott hit a shot high over the Main bar in the 13th minute before young 'keeper Coulson showed bravery in the 19th minute by racing off his line and taking the ball off Town substitute Martin Wade's toe.
In the 23rd minute, Main striker Ollie Warren had a goalbound shot blocked after Hands had saved Adam Shepherd's shot in the box.
Allott had another effort go wide for Town before Main piled on the pressure with the hosts struggling to get over the halfway line, Rob Branagan seeing his shot go just wide after Hands had kept out Charlie Weir's shot from the left.
Main deservedly opened the scoring when Lavender lobbed the loose ball over Hands into the net after Weir's cross was only partially cleared by the home defence.
With 2 minutes left in the half Warren shot wide after Hands punched out Scott Mellon's free kick from wide on the left and, in time addad on, Weir shot straight at Hands.
A minute into the 2nd half, Louis Axcell shot wide from the edge for Town and Warren had a couple of chances for Main, a shot in the box blocked and a header over from Mellon's left wing corner.
Allott saw his shot at the back post blocked and a header deflected wide as Town tried to get back in the game         
before Hands made a good stop to deny Branagan after the striker got his head to Danny Reilly's flick on from Jon Thompson's throw into the box.
On the hour Coulson easily saved Axcell's long range effort and Ryan Goodinson's back post shot was blocked following Danny Lindley's high cross from the left.
Branagan shot wide from a good position and Hands tipped Mellon's free kick over the bar as Main pushed forward.
The 2nd goal came in the 70th minute when Mason forced the ball over the line from close range after Reilly's shot from 12 yards was blocked.
Three minutes later, Coulson pulled off a great save by tipping a Jon Somerset shot over the bar.
After 74 minutes it was 3-0 when Branagan smashed the ball high into the net after being set up by Warren and Weir down the left.
Main had further chances with Lavender having a shot saved and Weir got on the end of Lavender's cross but his header was saved by Hands.
Then, in injury time, Main substitute Tom Jones made a great run into the box but Hands made a good stop.
