Main were dumped out of the Senior Cup, losing 4-0 to Evo-Stik Premier Division side Frickley Athletic.
Despite a goalless first half, the hosts showed their superiority in front of goal after the break to emerge clear winners.
Main midfielder Greg Mason,had a 7th minute shot from the edge of the box saved by Athletic ‘keeper Adam Nicklin and Main ‘keeper Jamie Bailey was then brought into the action, making 3 good saves, from a James Colliver header and 2 shots from Ryan Watson.
Main were forced into making 2 first half substitutions with Leigh Warriner and Tom Jones going off with injuries to be replaced by Sam Forster and Jon Wragg.
With 10 first half minutes remaining, Main striker Scott Whittington had a deflected shot saved, but Athletic finished the half the stronger.
Patrick McGuire headed wide from a Watson cross from the left and Watson shot wide from 20 yards.
In the last minute Danny Walsh was close to opening the scoring for the home side but his shot from inside the box crashed back off the post.
Nine minutes after the break Watson had 12 yard shot saved by Bailey but, a minute later, Athletic broke the deadlock when Danny Clarke got on the   

end of Watson’s cross from the right and shot past Bailey from 6 yards.
Then, Bailey tipped a Clarke shot around the post before, in the 66th minute, Athletic got a second goal when Simon Sturdy forced the ball over the line after Walsh’s shot from Andy Lee‘s corner had been blocked on the line by defender Patrick Sullivan.
Athletic defender Charlie Fisher shot just wide and Clarke shot well wide after running onto Jim Kay’s long ball.
In the 81st minute Whittington had shot deflected following Paul Lavender’s right wing cross but, in the last 7 minutes Athletic made sure of their passage into the next round with 2 late goals.
Striker Kevin Stanasy ran 30 yards from his own half and shot past Bailey into the top corner of the net and, in injury time, Lee scored with a close range header after Bailey had saved Fisher’s shot and Stanasy’s header had hit the crossbar.
