After two consecutive away wins, Main were beaten two-one at Hall Road Rangers.
After a slow start where neither side threatened, Rangers opened the scoring with their first attack, Paul Palmer shooting past Jamie Bailey into the bottom right hand corner from the edge of the box in the twelfth minute.
Ten minutes later striker Phil Jackman shot over the Main bar before, at the other end, Matt Wragg had a twenty sixth minute long range shot blocked and Adam Shepherd saw his low weak shot easily saved by Mike Burley in the Rangers goal.
Matt Wragg put a thirty yard effort just over and at the other end, Palmer shot wide.
Two minutes before the break Rangers went further in front when Palmer scored from the penalty spot after James Ellis was adjudged to have brought down Adam Walker in the box.
Then, in first half injury time, Bailey got down well to stop a low shot from Walker.
Two minutes after the break Ryan Tate shot wide from a good position and two minutes later, Main pulled a goal back when Matt Wragg shot into the bottom corner following a Neil Longhurst ball into the box.

In the sixty third minute, Main had a goal ruled out when the ball was played forward. The assistant’s flag went up for offside but Referee Mr Velic choose to ignore and seemed to wave play on and Matt Wragg slotted the ball under Burley into the net following a one-two with Beggs in the box.
After initially awarding the goal, he consulted his assistant after he was surrounded by the protesting Rangers players, and the decision was a free kick for offside.
With eighteen minutes left, Beggs forced a good save with his legs from Burley and Tate hit a free kick from twenty five yards straight at Burley.
Then, after two long range chances from each side, Jackman shooting wide for the home side and Main substitute Sean Lee shooting the same way, Rangers hung on to take the points.
