Maltby Main Football Club
After the midweek goaless draw at Armthorpe, Main were disappointing in a comprehensive defeat at Lincoln.
Management duo Steve Adams and Julian Watts had to make changes with James Ellis replacing the injured Scott Mellon in defence and Ryan Smyth up front with Tom Jones. Jon Thompson along with Curtis Gregory and Scott Eshelby from the Under 19's were on the bench.
Main got off to the worst possible start when in the 3rd minute, Moorlands striker Ben Good got on the end of Danny Brooks' corner from the left and headed in the bottom corner from inside the box.
The home side were now full of confidence and Brooks had a long range effort saved by Main keeper Jamie Bailey and Tom Garick shot over from the edge of the box.
Then, on 16 minutes, Moorlands increased their lead when,  from another Brooks corner, this time from the right, defender Ryan Creane powered a header into the roof of the net.
Main were really struggling to get forward and Moorlands had further chances with Garick shooting over and Good forcing a good save from Bailey.
Main began to settle and striker Rob Branagan saw his shot saved by 'keeper Mario Ziccardi's legs and Paul Lavender's shot from the loose ball was blocked.
Branagan screwed a 33th minute shot wide and, 2 minutes from the break, Greg Mason's free kick caused problems after it was flicked on by Branagan and Ziccardi did well to beat Jon Wragg to the ball.
After the break, Main came out more hungry for goals with Lavender having a shot tipped over by Ziccardi and, at the other end, Bailey denied Brooks from 25 yards.
Smyth and Charlie Weir were both off target with shots and, just after the hour mark, Smyth shot well over after Lavender had a shot blocked.
Then, Weir and Mason had shots that went wide of the Moorlands goal and despite all this pressure from Main without success, Moorlands got a third goal in the 79th minute when Good got on the end of Brooks' free kick and shot past Bailey from close range.
The 4th goal arrived in the 3rd minute of added time when Wragg brought down substitute Sean Cann in the box and Cann picked himself up and scored from the spot.
