Maltby Main Football Club
Main travelled to second bottom Lincoln Moorlands and gained a point in a 1-1 draw, but only with an equalising  goal in the eighty sixth minute.
Moorlands striker Nick Robinson wasted a good chance in the fourteenth minute, blasting high over the Maltby bar after Adam Hewitt’s corner had only been half cleared and, seven minutes later, from another Hewitt corner, Main ‘keeper Jamie Bailey easily saved Adam Gilbert’s low shot.
Then, in the twenty third minute, Main should have taken the lead when Neil Longhurst was put through on goal, but his low shot past ‘keeper Scott Russell came back off the post and, from the rebound, substitute Dave Gleeson, on for the injured Scott Whittington, fired wide of the open goal.
The miss proved costly as, three minutes later, Moorlands took the lead when Tom Garrick scored from close range after Lee Beesley’s cross from the left was only blocked by Bailey.
Another Garrick effort was saved by Bailey in the twenty ninth minute before young Main striker, Ryan Smyth, tried his luck with a long range shot that went wide and Scott Coupland headed wide for Moorlands from Beesley’s cross into the box.
The last action of the first half saw Main midfielder Chris Dickman shoot wide of Russell’s goal.
Fifteen minues into the second half, Longhurst shot wide. Then, Moorlands had a period of pressure with Garrick
shooting over and Robinson seeing a shot go the same way following Hewitt’s short corner.
Garrick’s seventy seventh minute shot was saved by Bailey after Beesley’s shot was blocked on the line.
Main were close to an equaliser in the eightieth minute when James Ellis headed just wide from Lee Mellon’s free kick into the box but six minutes later, the equaliser did come when Gleeson made up for his earlier miss by shooting past Russell from inside the box after Longhurst’s shot from the edge was blocked.
Both sides then had chances to win the match. Coupland shot wide after a Hewitt free kick was punched out by Bailey. Main defender Paul Lavender shot wide from a good position and, from another Lee Mellon free kick, Smyth had a header saved.
In injury time, Longhurst had a shot deflected for a corner and Main substitute Greg Mason had shot from ten yards saved from a Smyth cross into the box and Beesley headed over the Main bar.
