Maltby Main Football Club
Main suffered their 3rd consecutive defeat, going down 2-0 to Armthorpe Welfare.
Main had new signing from Belper, Arron Pride, at full back with Tom Jones coming in to replace the injured Adam Shepherd in midfield.
In the first 20 minutes the game swung from end to end with both sides having chances.
Main's Paul Lavender had a shot from 25 yards saved by Welfare 'keeper Ben Hallam and Welfare striker Adam Lee shot wide in the Main box.
Charlie Weir played a delightful 1-2 with Ollie Warren in the Welfare box but Hallam produced a fine save.
Ex pro Leo Fortune-West had a shot on the turn saved by Jamie Bailey in the Main goal.
Then, Main winger Lee Whittington headed wide from Tom Jones' cross from the left.
Welfare's Darren Mansaram hit a shot over from the edge of the box before the deadlock was broken in the 32nd minute when Armthorpe took the lead.
Striker Lee ran through  and shot past the advancing Bailey into the bottom corner after capitalising on Jon Wragg's attempted clearance.
Three minutes later Lee shot just over and Ben Muirhead shot over from Dave Buck's ball into the box.
Five minutes before the break, Welfare doubled their lead when Craig Morley's diving header beat Bailey following Lee's low right wing cross.
In the 43rd minute, Main went close when Lee Whittington headed over from Jon Bownes' free kick from the right.
Main had the best of the early 2nd half chances with Lavender shooting wide after Lee Whittington's shot was blocked and Simon Hickey tried his luck with a long effort that went wide.
Welfare were reduced to 10 men in the 70th minute when Fortune-West was sent off for a second booking for encroaching on Bownes' free kick.
In the last 5 minutes Main again had chances but could not make any headway for all their efforts.
