Main were hoping to make amends for the disappointing FA Vase exit against Dronfield in midweek as they entertained near-neighbours Armthorpe Welfare at a blustery Muglet Lane.
There were only 4 minutes on the clock when Nathan Lovell swung a cross in from the wing, the wind caught hold of the ball and the Armthorpe keeper could only pat the ball down over the line to give Main an early lead.
Main’s next chance came from a corner but Ollie Fearon's header was cleared off the line.
Eight minutes later, Sam Jones, with some lovely footwork, forced a headed clearance from Welfare’s Andrew Walkden before Main made it 2-0 in the last attack before half time. A floating cross from Liam Royles found Brian Cushworth at the back post and main’s veteran striker headed home for his 5th league goal in 5 and his 6th  in 6 league and cup games.
The blustery conditions again had a say as the visitors pulled a goal
back on 54 minutes, Jay Rollins crossing the ball and the wind sweeping the ball into Ben Brunt’s net.
Just before the 85 minute mark, Ollie Fearon forced a great save from the Armthorpe goal keeper before Main were hit with the sucker punch right on full time, as Welfare swung a corner in to the back post and Josh Gibbons rose to head it home from 2 yards.
Main: Ben Brunt, Richard Pierpoint, Gary Hibbert (Danny Payne 75), Ollie Fearon, Reece Wesley, Nathan Lovell, Sam Jones, Michael Cuckson, Brian Cusworth (Danny Reilly 66), Liam Royles (Sam Forster 60), Ben Thornton.
