Main picked up their first point since September with a 1-1 draw with Arnold, halting a run of 10 straight defeats.
Scott Mellon was back in defence, Scott Thompson returned in goal with Lee Whittington back for another spell with Main. Jamie Bowman and Greg Mason, returning from injury,were added to the bench.
Arnold striker Tristan Whitman hit a 4th minute shot from the edge of the Main box over and Rob Branagan had a low shot saved by Town 'keeper Martin Kearney.
Main winger Scott Whittington went close in the 11th minute, shooting just over from wide on the right.
Then, 4 minutes later, Main opened the scoring when Lee Clay forced the ball over the line from close range when Branagan headed Mellon's header across the box after Kearney had pushed Scott Whittington's shot around the post.
Lee Whittington had a shot on the turn saved after racing onto brother Scott's ball forward.
Then, Clay had a header deflected wide from Town defender Sam Leggitt's headed clearence.
Willis Francis forced a good save from Thompson in the 24th minute.
The game swung from end to end with Scott Whittington and Clay having good efforts for Main and Whitman and Luke Smithson shooting wide for Town.

Seven minutes before half time, Town drew level when Whitman burst down the left wing and squared the ball to Josh Schofield and his low shot beat Thompson at the near post.
Straight after the break Thompson made a good save to deny Smithson and Lee Whittington had a shot saved following a Jon Wragg  cross from the right.
Main had a brief period on the attack with Branagan shooting wide at the back post and Scott Whittington headed wide.
Then Clay got on the end of Mick Jones' ball into the box but his header was well saved by Kearney.
The game ended with both sides going close but the points were shared in Main's best performance for sometime.
