A ruthless display by Main saw visitors Athersley Recreation totally destroyed as Maltby gained their sixth double of the league season.
After 30 minutes Athersley’s Scott Alcock was sent off for a deliberate hand ball which saw Brian Cusworth put Main ahead.
The Maltby striker grabbed his second on 35 minutes with a diving header following a pinpoint cross from Nicky Darker.
His hat trick came after 55 minutes with a simple tap in from 4 yards.
With Maltby in total control and Joe Davies having another excellent game it became 4-nil
on 74 minutes when Nicky Darker netted.
Ainsley Finney scored the fifth on 76 minutes after a cross from Aaron Tate.
The visitors scored a penalty through Joe Thornton on 87 minutes but another fine performance saw Maltby get the points.
