Despite a strong second half showing, Main went down to their 4th home defeat of the season with a 2-0 reverse against Brighouse Town.
Main got off to a poor start when Town took the lead in the 1st minute, Daniel Nadidole forcing the ball over the line past the advancing Main 'keeper Jamie Bailey after his first shot took a deflection.
Town had the ball in the net again in the 4th minute but defender Josh Williams was adjudged to have fouled Bailey following Tom Brown's free kick from the left.
Then, in the 9th minute, Nadidole got his 2nd goal by firing past Bailey at the back post from Alex O'Keefe's left wing cross.
Main winger Ben Langford had a shot in the box blocked and Paul Lavender had a 30 yard free kick tipped over by Town 'keeper Ben Imeson.
In the 20th minute, Langford was unlucky when his shot from 15 yards hit the top of the crossbar.
The action swung from end to end with Main defender Mick Jones having a far post header saved and Reece Wesley headed wide from a Scott Mellon corner.
Town striker Antony Haigh was off target with a couple of efforts before he was sent off for taking a kick at Lavender in the 30th minute.
Imeson did well in the 38th minute by tipping over Mellon's in-swinging corner and then Mellon curled a      

free kick on the edge of the box wide after Bailey had tipped an O'Keefe shot over the bar.
A minute after the break, Langford hit the woodwork again with a shot in the box and, from the rebound, Imeson kept out a Jones shot.
Rob Branagan had a fierce shot deflected out  and Langford brought another good save from Imeson with a shot at the back post following Jones' cross across the box.
Then, Bailey kept out another O'Keefe shot and, after Nadidole's free kick hit the Maltby defensive wall, Shane Hamilton hit the ball well wide.
Branagan tested Imeson on a couple of occasions, shooting just over and having a low shot saved.
Then, he had goalbound shot deflected wide from substitute Oliver Graham's cross from the left after Bailey had saved Town substitute Wayne Crossley's shot.
In the final minutes, Jones had a header saved for Main and Town substitute Jake Lever had  a low shot saved by Bailey after bursting into the box.
