An under par Maltby performance saw them crash out of the F.A. Cup at Muglet Lane.
Maltby went close with early efforts from Ben Thornton and Liam Royles but, against the run of play, Glossop were awarded a 17th minute penalty after Sam Hines was brought down in the Maltby box and North End captain, Dave Young converted.
Things went from bad to worse 5 minutes later when Jason Carey headed home a second for the visitors from an Adam Kay cross.
Glossop went further ahead on 44 minutes when a defensive error allowed Jason Carey to make it 3-0 at the break.
The second half saw no change and on 49 minutes Glossop were awarded a second penalty when Neil
Chappell was brought down by Main ‘keeper Matthew Cutts..
Again this was scored by Dave Young, and on 61 minutes he got his third when Nicky Darker appeared to handle in the area.
It became 6-0 on 85 minutes when Keiran Lugsden beat three players to slot the ball home.
In 90+1 minutes Aaron Moxam made it 7-0, scoring from a tap in.
A lesson in finishing was given today but Maltby were better than the scoreline may suggest.
