In a controversial crucial relegation match with Lincoln Moorlands Railway, Main took the vital 3 points to leapfrog over their opponents and out of the relegation places with a 1-0 win and stretched their unbeaten run to 6 games.
In the 2nd minute, Moorlands were close to opening the scoring when Main midfielder Jon Bownes allowed the ball to go out for a corner on the left and  defender Tom Batchelor got on the end of Luke Forbes flag-kick, but Bownes blocked his header on the line.
Sam Foulds had a weak shot from the edge of the box saved by Moorlands 'keeper Craig Turner before the visitors threatened again in the 11th minute when Danny Hargreaves forced Main 'keeper Andy Carney to tip a fierce shot in the box over the bar and from the corner Ben Garrick shot wide.
Lee Whittington hit a 20 yard shot wide in the 15th minute before, a minute later, Moorlands were reduced to 10 men when Batchelor was given a straight red card by referee Paul Thompson for bringing down Rob Branagan on the edge of the box.
Both sides had chances but it was the visitors who came close again when Carney had punch clear Dave Hone's close range header after Hargreaves had headed down a Forbes corner from the left.
In an eventful final 5 minutes of the half, Moorlands' striker Ben Good saw his header crash back off the far  post and into Carney's hands after Jon Wragg had attempted to clear Hone's long throw into the box.
Then, in injury time, Lee Whittington cashed in on Turner's error in the box but his close range shot was cleared off the
line by Hone.
In the 3rd minute of time added on, Moorlands had a 2nd man sent off when Josh Nichol was given another straight red card for a foul on Bownes on the halfway line.
Two minutes after the break, Lee Whittington wasted 2 good chances by shooting over in the box following Greg Mason's ball forward and then being set up by Reece Wesley from Mick Jones' long throw.
The vital goal came in the 51st minute when Branagan got on the end of Scott Mellon's through ball, burst into the box and shot into the bottom corner past Turner from 8 yards.
Wesley was close to giving Main a 2 goal advantage with a back post header from Mellon's left wing corner that hit the top of the upright.
Three minutes from the end, Jones shot wide from wide on the left after Mellon's corner was only part cleared.
In injury time Moorlands forced a late corner but Hone headed over.
