Main were the first to show with Adam Gilbert being forced to head clear Simon Hickey’s free kick with Danny Reilly closing in to head goalwards in the fourth minute.
Two minutes later Lee Mellon headed just over the bar from Hickey’s corner before Rob Branagan fired over the bar from the edge of the area in the tenth minute with the visitors under real pressure.
A minute later Richard Tracey raced onto Mellon’s through ball but he went wide of the goal and flashed his shot across the goal and out for a goal kick.
Moorlands first attack came in the twenty fourth minute when skipper Nick Robinson floated a freekick into the Main penalty area. Jack McGovern flicked the ball goalward but James Ellis cleared the danger.
Main had the ball in the back of the net on the half hour mark when Tracey burst through the defence and slotted the ball past Leigh Herrick but the linesman raised his flag for offside, although Tracey looked level with the last man. Three minutes later Mellon almost caught Herrick out with a long range chip that sailed just wide of the post with the Moorlands ‘keeper struggling to get back into his goal.
In the thirty fifth minute Branagan dispossessed Adam Hewitt and crossed to the edge of the area where Mellon flicked the ball on and Adam Shepherd fired the ball just wide of the goal.
Main started the second half as they ended the first.
Hickey drilled a shot just wide from the edge of the area in the forty seventh minute before Main were forced into making a substitution, Branagan coming off with a ankle injury and being replaced by John Beggs.
The visitors took a shock lead in controversial fashion when Herrick’s long clearance bounced over Gary Hibbert to Lee Beesley who played the ball to Luke Boyce in an offside position who tapped in from close range.
On the hour mark Shepherd played the ball forward to Tracey who, in turn, played it wide to Hickey, but his cross was too close to Herrick who collected on the second attempt.
Main pulled level in the seventy seventh minute when Mellon raced down the wing and fired in a world class cross. Matt Wragg side footed under Herrick.
Boyce found himself clear through on goal only to get called back for offside but the visitors snatched their second win at Muglet Lane this season in the eighty sixth minute when Ellis’s weak clearance of Boyce’s cross fell to Robinson who lobbed the ball over Bailey and Ben Garrick tapped into the empty net fom close range.
In second half injury time Garrick was sent clear through on goal but his shot was expertly saved by Bailey.
