A late Pickering Town penalty prevented Main from taking maximum points in this crucial bottom of the table clash that finished 1-1, to keep Main in the bottom two.
Early first half chances fell to both sides with Tom Adams firing over from 30 yards and heading over from a Russ Parker cross for Town and Main skipper Scott Mellon hit a free kick from wide on the right straight at 'keeper Adam Mitchell.
Main were close to opening the scoring in the 18th minute when Sam Foulds' spectacular effort from 6 yards crashed back off the crossbar following Paul Lavender's pinpoint cross from the right.
A minute later, Main were forced to make a change when winger Scott Whittington limped off with an ankle injury.
Mick Jones had 26th minute header from substitute Rob Branagan's cross saved by Mitchell and Foulds headed just wide at the front post from another Mellon free kick.
Main 'keeper Scott Thompson easily dealt with Chris Gowen's low long range effort before, after 32 minutes, Main took the lead when Danny McKenzie cashed in on Marc Thompson's slip on the edge of the box and squared the ball into the path of Ben Langford who shot past Mitchell from 8 yards into the bottom corner of the net.

In first half injury time, Thompson pulled off  a good save to deny Tom Reid, pushing a free kick from the edge of the box out for a corner.
Eight minutes into the 2nd half, Main were reduced to 10 men when Jones was sent off for a 2nd bookable offence.
Liam Salt wasted a good chance for Town in the 59th minute, heading just wide after Steve Baxter crossed from the right following Parker's corner.
A minute later Baxter had the ball in the Main net but was flagged offside and Town had a couple of chances that went wide, first a shot from Baxter and another shot from Salt.
Then, with 3 minutes remaining, Town were awarded a penalty when Reece Wesley was adjudged to have handled in the box and Adams sent Thompson the wrong way from the spot.
Main were close to a winner in time added on when Langford miskicked right on the goal line following McKenzie's ball across the box.
