Maltby Main Football Club
Main suffered another heavy home defeat to drop the club into the bottom 3 in the table.
New signings Asa Ingall from Garforth Town, and Charlie Weir, back for a 2nd spell with Main, were added to the starting line-up, but it only took the visitors 2 minutes to open the scoring when striker Curtis Bernard shot past Main' keeper Andy Carney from 5 yards after Gary Hepples had flicked on Bill Law's cross from the right.
Athletic had the ball in the net again in the 8th minute but the flag went up for offside.
Main winger Scott Whittington had a shot deflected out a minute later and Carney did well to get down to deny Hepples from Paddy Miller's cross from the left.
Athletic were close to a 2nd when Bernard hit the bottom of the post from the edge of the box following Jamie Bowman's headed clearance from a high ball into the box.
Main were reduced to 10 men in the 25th minute when defender Gary Middleton was given a straight red card for a foul on Joe Naylor.
Ingall had a far post header from Scott Mellon's free kick pushed out by Athletic 'keeper Kevin Martin and, from Whittington's corner, Ingall's shot was blocked on the line.
Then, after 32 minutes, Athletic got their 2nd when Law's corner caused problems and Reece Wesley's attempted headed clearance fell nicely for Tony Hackworth to head in at the back post.
Ingall had a 37th minute shot saved, but 2 minutes later it was 3-0 when Naylor crashed in a shot from 22 yards from Bernard’s square pass.
Two minutes before  break, Main midfielder Ben Langford had a header saved from Scott Mellon's cross and Martin did well to pull off 2 fine stops to deny Weir from 30 yards and Ingall's follow up from the rebound, after former Main man Darryl Winter had headed wide for Athletic.
Carney was tested again, 2 minutes into the 2nd half by gathering at the 2nd attempt Hackworth's shot from 25 yards.
Ingall shot over the bar and, at the other end, Bernard had a shot in the box deflected.
Then, in the 60th minute, Athletic were awarded a penalty when Carney pulled substitute Chris Hewitt's shirt and striker Ryan Blott scored from the spot to make it 4-0.
After 67 minutes it was 5-0 when substitute Scott Phillips' shot deflected in off Bowman past Carney.
Martin made another good save to deny Ingall in the 76th minute but, with 5 minutes remaining, Bernard got the 6th goal with a shot on the turn in the box from Hewitt's cross from the right.
