In their final match of the season, Main got the 3 points that were required to preserve their premier division status, with a 2-0 victory against already relegated Selby Town.
Assistant player manager Gary Middleton came into the starting line up at the back with Tom Salt being added to the bench.
Lee Whittington had an early chance for Main with a shot from the edge of the box that went wide before striker Rob Branagan put Main into the lead in the 9th minute, shooting under Town 'keeper Ciaran Gibson from 10 yards after being set up by Lee Whittington and Sam Foulds.
A minute later Town's Matt Marshall shot wide from the edge of the box and Foulds saw his header saved by Gibson following Craig Gladwin's cross from the right.

Main dominated the rest of the half with Lee Whittington and Gladwin having shots off target.
Main were also greeted with some good news that at half time, Lincoln Moorlands Railway were trailing 2-1 to Brighouse Town.
Four minutes after the break, Mick Jones' goalbound header was cleared of the line by Town's Chris Hart from Gladwin's corner from the right.
Main then enjoyed a long period of pressure.

Just before the hour mark, Main skipper Scott Mellon hit a 30 yard free kick just over and Lee Whiittington got on the end of
Gladwin's through ball but could only shoot straight at Gibson.
In a rare Town attack, substitute Jon Wileman cut inside from the right and forced a god save from Carney and then Carney got down well to keep out a low shot from Abbas Sadeghian after Gladwin and Foulds were off target for Main.
In the final minute, Jones headed wide from Mellons high corner and Sagegian saw his shot deflected.
Then, in the 3rd minute of time added on, Main substitute Paul Lavender got Main a deserved 2nd goal with a shot from 25 yards that rocketed past Gibson into the top corner of the net.
