Main secured their first win since November when they beat high flyers Thackley.
Main were under pressure from the off with Jamie Bailey pulling of a great point blank save at the feet of Matt Mathers, John Wragg clearing the danger.
Thackley had Main under the cosh and Chris Dickman was forced to head behind Matt Morgan’s corner. From the resulting corner Wragg cleared the danger only as far as Ross Daly but his shot flew wide of the post from twenty five yards out.
Bailey pulled of a world class save to push the ball round the post for a corner, from which Mathers headed wide of the far post from close range.
The visitors took the lead on the stroke of half time when Matt Morgan volleyed past Bailey after Andy King’s deep corner was hooked back into the area by Daly.
The lead, however, only lasted forty six seconds as Adam Shepherd smashed the ball past Ben Higginson in the Thackley goal after Rob Branagan had been up-ended by Rob Morgan in the area.
Paul Lavender denied Nicky Mathews in the forty seventh minute when he headed the striker’s header off the line and away from danger and Main took the lead in the fifty second minute when Neil      

Longhurst raced onto Dickman’s long ball, played the ball square and Branagan side footed the ball under Higginson and into the far corner.
On the hour mark Bailey saved well down low to deny Mathews before Main defender Scott Mellon was a coat of paint away from extending Main’s lead in the sixty fourth minute when his curling free kick hit the foot of the post and bounced clear of danger.
The visitors were close to levelling the scores in the eighty sixth minute when Bailey blocked Morgan’s cross but the ball squirmed loose. Matthews fired the ball goalwards but Dave Gleeson was on hand to block bravely at the feet of the striker.
