A 1-0 defeat against Thackley was Main's 9th home defeat and the 4th on the bounce to keep them in the bottom 2 of the Premier Division.
In a goalless first half, Main had the first chance with striker Danny McKenzie seeing his shot in the box blocked following Rob Branagan's ball forward.
After 10 minutes, Thackley came close to an opener when Dempsey Smith's header from Brice Tiani's left wing corner came back off the bar and, from the loose ball, John Mallinson shot wide.
Then, from another Tiani corner, Matt Hall shot well wide after Main defender Reece Wesley had headed clear.
Main defender Scott Whittigton hit a 30 yard effort wide and McKenzie shot over in the box after being set up by Branagan and Ben Langford.
Thackley striker Luke Hudson headed wide after getting on the end of Keenan Ratcliffe's cross from the right and Main 'keeper Scott Thompson easily saved Smith's shot from 10 yards.
Main finished the half the stronger with Langford shooting inches wide from McKenzie's through ball and Greg Mason tried his luck with a fierce shot from the edge of the box that crept just wide.
Liam Royles was also off target with a snapshot in the box.

Nine miutes into the second half, Hall hit a free kick on the edge of the Main box over the bar and Thackley substitute Liam Moore had a shot deflected wide but, on 59 minutes, the visitors took the lead when James Firth's shot from wide on the right deflected off a defender over Thompson into the roof of the net.
Two minutes later Thompson got down well to keep out Tiani's low shot before, in the 73rd minute, Thackley substitute,Kris Hargreaves hit a 30 yard straight at Thompson as the visitors looked to build on their lead.
In the last 4 minutes, Main had 2 good chances, Branagan shooting wide with an overhead kick and McKenzie's close range effort from Whittington's right wing cross was pushed around the post by Thackley 'keeper Mark Bower.
