Main's winning run continued with a 3-1 home win against Thackley making it 7 on the bounce.
New signing from the defunct FC Brimington side, Adam Geliff was given a debut in midfield alongside the returning Jon Bownes with Ollie Warren up front and Tom Jones and Danny Reilly in defence with skipper Jamie Bailey returning from injury in goal.
Main suffered an early injury blow when Scott Mellon limped off with a leg injury to be replaced by Charlie Weir.
Thackley striker Matt Mathers headed wide in the 13th minute from a Tom Higman free kick from the left and, 2 minutes later, Main striker Ollie Warren had a shot cleared off the line by Rob Morgan.
Thackley 'keeper Matt Convey made a terrific double save to deny Bownes and Warren.
Then, Warren shot wide in the 23rd minute but, 5 minutes later, Geliff put Main in front with a thunderous shot from the edge of the box following neat work by Warren and Rob Branagan.
Adam Shepherd shot just wide in the 30th  minute before the visitors had a couple of late first half chances. Andy King shot wide from 20 yards and Matthers had a shot in the box blocked.
In first half stoppage time Branagan forced Convey into a good save after getting on the end of Tom Jones' long throw into the box.
Four minutes after the break Main were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box after Higman had brought   
down Warren and Geliff fired the ball past Convey into the top corner of the net.
Main piled on the pressure and had further chances.
Bownes burst into the box and a had a shot blocked, Greg Mason saw his close range shot saved and Branagan and Weir set up Warren but Convey easily saved his low shot.
Then, Convey denied Weir from a 30 yard free kick and Geliff's deflected shot was also kept out by Convey.
In the 75th minute both sides were reduced to 10 men when Branagan and King were sent off following a mass brawl on the halfway line that also saw Main assistant manager Julian Watts sent from the Main bench.
With 4 minutes remaining, Warren made it 3-0 after cashing in on 'keeper Convey's slip outside the box when attempting to clear a back pass and Warren had the simple task of walking the ball into an empty net.
A minute later Thackley substitute Harry Thompson spoilt Main's clean sheet by firing past Bailey after Ross Daly's shot was blocked.
